No, Kindle Direct Publishing (the world's largest self-publishing toolbox) is NOT a scam in any way, shape, or form. There aren't any Nigerian princes or IRS impersonators that you need to fear. Publishing on Amazon through KDP is as simple as uploading your manuscript and book cover and then pressing the "publish" button. You won't find an easier print-on-demand service out there. For the hardcover and paperback versions, there are a variety of trim sizes and paper options to choose from. We always recommend black and white to maximize your income as much as possible.

The Amazon review process may take up to a week for the paperback version, but it's our experience that the eBook version is approved within 24 hours in most cases. Royalties are then paid directly to your bank account within a month.
